Following its prestigious double win at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, The Violinist continues its international journey with another major selection: the animated film will be screened at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea from 6 to 15 October 2026.
The film made its debut in the Official Competition at Annecy 2026, one of the most important international events dedicated to animation, where it won two prestigious awards: the Cristal for Best Feature Film and the SACEM Award for Best Original Soundtrack for a Feature Film.
Its selection for the Busan International Film Festival marks another significant milestone for the film and confirms its place on the international scene, once again bringing an Italian production and a story born from the meeting of different cultures to the audience of one of Asia’s most important film festivals.
The Violinist thus continues its international journey, arriving in Busan and cementing its place amongst the most acclaimed animated films of 2026.
