Set against the backdrop of 1930s Singapore and the present day, the film follows the story of Fei, a violinist whose fate is upended by war, weaving together memory, love and music in a deeply moving tale. The power of the storytelling and the artistic quality of the film won over the Annecy jury, which awarded the film the festival\u2019s top prize.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Cristal for a Feature Film, the film also won the SACEM Award for Best Original Soundtrack in a Feature Film, which celebrates the central role of music within the film.
