Filming of the film “Marina”, shot between Puglia and Belgium, ended in November. The film, starring Luigi Lo Cascio and Donatella Finocchiaro, tells the story of a child, Rocco, who moves together with his family from southern Italy to Belgium. There, in fact, his father Salvatore (Lo Cascio) found work, like many Italians of the time, in a mine. But integrating into a country other than your own is not easy and for Rocco music is the only key to expressing himself and his dreams.

“Marina” directed by the Belgian director Stijn Coninx, nominated for an Oscar for the film “Father Daens”, is co-produced by Orisa Produzioni and the Belgian productions Eyeworks Film and TV Drama and Les Films du Fleuve by the Dardenne brothers and is inspired by life of the Italian-Belgian singer Rocco Granata.
