My Place Is Here

In the aftermath of WWII. In a rural village in the South of Italy, a single mother betrothed to an older farmer, befriends the local homosexual, known as “the wedding planner”. Thanks to him, she starts to understand her right as a woman to have a full life. He introduces her to a course of typing for young women held in a nearby communist party headquarters. This will trigger her fight against the hypocrisy of this conservative world.
